Metallurgical Microscopes

Metallurgical microscopes provide high magnification and allow viewing of objects that do not allow light to pass through them. The light shines down through the objective lens and onto the specimen. Metallurgical microscopes are available with reflected light (from above) or both reflected and transmitted light. The metallurgical microscopes are also available with brightfield only, or brightfield and darkfield. Inverted metallurgical microscopes are best for viewing larger specimens that will not fit on the stage of an upright metallurgical microscope.
