The BM-1 stereo microscope has the following specifications:
- Objectives: Paired interchangeable parfocal objectives are mounted on a dovetail slide. Includes 1x and 2x objectives.
- Eyepieces: Widefield 10x eyepieces included with microscope. (Accepts 25mm reticle). Microscope accepts optional 5x, 15x and 20x eyepieces. Dioptric adjustment is possible with one eyepiece tube and interpupillary distance is adjustable between 51mm and 80mm.
- Focusing: Includes coarse focusing adjustment.
- Illumination: Integrated illuminator features a three lens condenser system fitted to the binocular body, with a 6v power supply transformer housed in the base.
- Stand:
Inclinable binocular body can be positioned at any height up to 330mm above bench level.
- Heavy base is 200mm long x 140mm wide x 60mm high (7.87" x 5.51" x 2.36")
- Horizontal inclinable arm is 255mm (10")
- Vertical post is 300mm (11.8")

- Working distance: 170mm with 1x objective, 107mm with 2x objective. 106mm with optional 0.5x objective.
